Former Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently applauded Rick Hendrick’s selfless support of IndyCar ace Will Power and his wife Liz. The owner of the HMS helped Power’s wife escape a near-death situation due to a Staph infection that had taken hold in her spine.

It was last January, when the wife of the Team Penske driver was in critical situation and needed urgent medical attention. When Hendrick learned of the situation, he contacted Power and made an appointment with the best doctors and specialists in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The 2018 Indy 500 winner recently revealed that the NASCAR The Hall of Famer’s unwavering support saved his wife’s life. He recounted the incident during Rick Hendrick’s recent visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as he stated:

“My wife got very sick in the off season and Rick was one of the first people to call me and help me. When he found out and put me in touch with the best doctors, the best people could take care of her.” She was about to die. It was a very difficult situation. He never stopped calling throughout the entire process, which, like me, my wife will never forget. “

The two-time IndyCar champion offered Rick Hendrick a special helmet as a sign of gratitude. The NASCAR team owner was touched by the gift, adding:

“First of all, I don’t need anything. But man, this is something I’ll treasure (pointing to the helmet). I’m a big fan either way, but boy am I honored to have it and thank you so much, thank you. I’m so glad she’s okay.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. stepped in and spotlighted Rick Hendrick for his many selfless acts off the track. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

“I I wonder how many times Rick has done this for someone. Since I have known him, I have heard stories of him helping others in this way. ยป

The recent incident illustrates how the HMS boss creates a family atmosphere in competitions in the motorsport community.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. gives his opinion on a controversial NASCAR topic

Since it existed Buschwhacking – Cup drivers competing in the Xfinity Series have inspired mixed opinions among fans.

Matt Weaver recently expressed his “love-hate relationship” with the practice after NASCAR implemented a five-race limit for experienced drivers. Series of cuts Drivers.

Weaver wants the limit to be increased while Dale Earnhardt Jr. added that raising the limits would not change the current scenario as most Cup drivers were reluctant to make multiple starts.

“There are a lot of Cup drivers who don’t even run a single race. Limitations are not a factor in my opinion,” wrote Dale Earnhardt Jr on X.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. added:

“I don’t want to speculate on why they don’t choose to run. But until there is a solid 5-10 cup driver who hits the limit, raising it won’t do much- thing. We had maybe 2 people eligible for the limit who reached ” “

Veteran Pilot Denis Hamlin added that the situation is not similar to when Buschwhacking was popular, as most Xfinity teams require drivers to come up with the financing.

While a lack of star power has allowed young talent to take center stage, the Xfinity Series is also less appealing these days.
