Barker and the Swiss legend sat down to discuss their iconic careers while also talking about their experiences at the Wimbledon Championships. Additionally, a time came when the former world number 1 reminded Barker of her retirement in 2022.
Recalling the memory, Barker became emotional and said: “Honestly, it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my career and I get emotional even thinking about it, so I’ll move on.” The men’s singles final between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios at Wimbledon 2022 marked the last time Barker appeared for the iconic tournament. Additionally, both men avoided talking about the recent Wimbledon controversy over Just Stop Oil activists interrupting Grigor Dimitrov’s match.
Moving forward, they discussed Federer’s potential return to Wimbledon last year. The Swiss maestro hinted at a return during Wimbledon’s centenary celebrations last year. However, shortly after, Federer announced his decision to end his illustrious career. Speaking about Federer’s retirement decision, Barker said: “I can’t imagine how hard this was for you.”

She gave the 41-year-old a long ovation as he was celebrated for his wonderful career.
