Savannah Christian’s Elijah Griffin poses after sacking Savannah Country Day quarterback Isaiah Batten during a Raiders victory on Oct. 4, 2024.

Five-star defensive line recruit Elijah Griffin will do it announce your commitment on Friday, October 18 at 1:20 p.m. ET from Savannah Christian Prep, which is his high school.

Griffin announced his commitment date shortly after visiting Georgia Bulldogs for the Mississippi State Game. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive lineman will decide between Georgia, U.S.C. and Miami on Friday. Griffin is expected to commit to UGA, by 247Sports.

The Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart boast the fifth-best recruiting class in the country for the 2025 cycle, but Georgia still has room to improve. Landing Griffin would go a long way in the Dawgs’ quest to land the best recruiting class in the country.

Griffin has elite production with 35.5 career sacks at the high school level. The Savannah, Ga. product is ranked as the nation’s top defensive lineman and the nation’s fourth-ranked recruit. Griffin is the top recruit in the Peach State and is a major priority for Kirby Smart and UGA.

Georgia is always looking to win the battle in the trenches and Griffin will be a difference maker for Georgia moving forward.
