The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Phoenix Raceway this weekend for the Straight Talk Wireless 500. A field of 37 drivers has officially been established, with one part-time driver joining the field of 36 full-time regulars for Sunday’s race at Phoenix.
A week after Jesse Love took the wheel of the No. 33 Richard Childress Racing car at COTA, it will now be Austin Hill’s turn. Hill comes to Phoenix having already scored a victory in this year’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Daytona. Hill’s final Cup Series race was at the YellaWood 500 at Talladega in October 2025, where he finished 22nd. In his final race at Phoenix, the Xfinity Series championship, Hill placed ninth.
