Florida A&M the 2026 football calendar for the new coach Quinn Fordham Gray Sr. the first season is out.
And it’s action-packed.
The Rattlers open their season against Gray’s former team, the Albany State Golden Rams, on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium.

Before becoming FAMU’s 20th full-time head coach As of last December, Gray spent three seasons at Albany State, going 24-11 and winning in 2025. Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Black College Football National Championship for NCAA Division II.
FAMU will play again in the Orange Blossom Classic and face the reigning Celebration Bowl and Division I Black College Football national champions on Saturday, September 5. The Labor Day weekend showdown will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
The Rattlers will remain in “The 305” to face the College Football Playoff runner-up, the Miami Hurricanes, at Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday, September 10.
A rivalry that Gray knows will be renewed.

FAMU will host old Atlanta Football Classic foe Tennessee State on Saturday, September 19. This will be the first time the historically black colleges and universities have met since 2017.
The first Southwestern Athletic Conference game for the Rattlers will be at home against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Saturday, September 26.
FAMU’s homecoming game is scheduled for Saturday, October 24 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Florida Classic between FAMU and Bethune-Cookman will take place on Saturday, November 21.
