The NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville High-Speed Highway will have a new start time in 2025.
The fifth annual race, formerly known as the Ally 400, is scheduled for June 1 and will begin at 6 p.m. CT. The 2024 race started at 2:30 p.m.
“Racing under the lights at Nashville Superspeedway is truly special, and we are excited to once again offer our fans this incredible experience,” said Matt Greci, general manager of Nashville Superspeedway. “With the cooler evening temperatures and incredible atmosphere that night racing brings, this schedule allows us to deliver another unforgettable weekend that combines the excitement of NASCAR with the unparalleled energy of Nashville.”
This will be the second time that the race will take place under the lights. The 2023 race started at 6 p.m. on June 25. The date of June 1 will be the earliest date ever for the race. Part of the 2022 race also took place under lights after a delay due to weather conditions.
The May 31 NASCAR Xfinity Series 2025 Tennessee Lottery 250 will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the May 30 Rackley 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race will begin at 7 p.m.
Joey Logano, who won the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship last week, won the 2024 Ally 400 followed by Zane Smith, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher.
Other past winners of the race were Ross Chastain in 2023, Chase Elliott in 2022 and Kyle Larson in 2021.
Elliott was one of the drivers who insisted on a later start for the Nashville race due to the early summer heat.
