The 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend will take place in Toronto from February 1-3.
This year, the Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Draft will take place on February 1 (6 p.m. ET; ESPN2, SN, TVAS) as part of All-Star Thursday.
Player captains, alternate captains and celebrity captains will select four teams of 11 players (nine skaters, two goaltenders) for the 2024 Honda (USA)/Rogers (Canada) NHL All-Star Game on February 3 (3 p.m. ET; ABC, ESPN+, SN, CBC, TVAS).
Global superstar Justin Bieber famously captains Team Matthews with Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews as captain and defender Morgane Rielly his deputy. Team Matthews will wear blue All-Star Game jerseys.
Team McDavid will be led by Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavidwith the Oilers center Leon Draisaitl as Toronto-born assistant and actor Will Arnett, the famous captain. He will wear white All-Star jerseys.
Team Hughes will be led by Devils center Jack Hugheswho will participate in off-ice events due to injury, and his brother, a Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes. Canucks forward Elias Pettersson will be their assistant and Grammy Award-winning musician Michael Bublé will be their famous captain. He will wear All-Star red jerseys.
Team MacKinnon will be led by Colorado Avalanche center Nathan Mackinnonwith assistant and teammate Cale Makar and multiplatinum Canadian singer, songwriter and dancer Tate McRae. He will wear yellow All-Star jerseys.
On Thursday, February 1, the NHL All-Star Game will feature the Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Draft, the NHL Alumni Association Man of the Year honoring the 1967 Maple Leafs, and the Canadian Tire PWHL 3-on-3 Showcase.
The 2024 NHL All-Star Skills presented by DraftKings Sportsbook takes place on February 2 (7 p.m. ET; ESPN, ESPN+, SN, TVAS) and has a new look with 12 NHL stars competing for a game-winning victory million dollars (USD). -all prices.
The 12 players are JT Miller, Pettersson and Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks; Matthew and William Nylander host Maple Leafs; MacKinnon, Makar, McDavid, Draisaitl; Nikita Koucherov Tampa Bay Lightning; David Pastrnak Boston Bruins; And Matthew Barzal of the New York Islanders, replacing Jack Hughes.
The 12 NHL All-Stars participating in the skills competition will each compete in four of the first six events: Fastenal’s Fastest NHL Skater, Rogers’ Hardest Shot in the NHL, NHL Upper Deck, Tim Hortons NHL One Timers, Scotiabank NHL Passing Challenge and Cheetos. NHL Precision Shooting. First place will be worth five points, second place four points and so on.
The top eight will advance to the seventh event, the Honda NHL Shootout. The top six will advance to the final event: the Pepsi NHL Obstacle Course, which will include all skills and earn double points. First place is worth 10 points, second place eight points and so on.
The All-Star Game will continue the 3-on-3 format introduced in 2016.
