Have you ever imagined yourself as a wrestler?!
How about a boxer?!
Or a UFC fighter?!
Maybe a darts player?!
Or a snooker player?!
Maybe you just like some pump tunes when you run or use weights!
Maybe you’ve never done any of the above!
However, one thing that all of these sports have in common is that the competitor usually has an entrance song to sing!
You don’t have to be a huge music fan to appreciate the importance and enormity of trying to choose an entrance song to land on.
It gets you and the crowd moving.
In recent years, the Darts have featured some great songs for the players to perform, such as Crazy Nights by Kiss, Seven Nation Army and much more.
Wrestling fans will recognize Hulk Hogan’s theme song, Real American!
Whoever you are, whether you just like sports or music or neither, you’ll know a lot of these catchy tunes!
So here are a few to get the adrenaline pumping!
1. Eye of the Tiger – Survivor
We start things off with this all-time classic from the Rocky films. This one will get the juices flowing nicely!
2. Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Can’t Stop
This song has become famous in sports circles largely because it is Wladimir Klitschko’s entrance music. It’s a great song and the beginning, in particular, will have you chomping at the bit!
3. Avicii – Levels
Released in 2011, this song was absolutely sensational! A true roof booster and a great choice to mark your arrival on the big stage.
4. ACDC – Stunned
You may have actually played air guitar to this song at a wedding or reception at some point! But it also makes for a great pumping tune.
5. Welcome to the Jungle – Guns N’ Roses
In this case, I think the Jungle is a metaphor for a boxing ring of some kind! Or enter the lion’s den like the guy said! Once again, it’s the beginning of the song that brings up the dander.
6.2 Unlimited – Get Ready for This
Made famous by the film Space Jam, this one will definitely keep you in suspense!
7. Celtic Symphony – Wolfe Tones
A number of Irish sportsmen have named this song as the one they have on their playlists before matches.
The Cork senior hurling team of the 2000s in particular used to play this game when they toured Jones Road for the big matches at Croker!
8. Kiss – Wild and crazy nights
This is mentioned above and had to be included! Wes Newton realizes this when he throws darts and it always gets a good reaction.
9. The Proclaimers – I Will Be (500 Miles)
Listening to this would make you want to sprint 500 miles let alone walk! This is also another great party piece.
10. Three Six Mafia – It’s a fight
Another Rocky Movie! Mason Dixon – who is played by real-life champion Antonio Tarver – arrives to confront Balboa to this song.
11. Galvinize – Chemical Brothers
Another tune that was used by a darts player, this time Kevin Painter.
12. Kanye West – All the Lights
Kell Brook, who recently had a good fight against Gennady Golovkin, fights his way into this one and it’s deadly when it gets going.
13. Hulk Hogan Theme – True American
Hulkamania Brother! Enough said!
14. Macklemore – Can’t Hold Us
A real roof enhancer!
15. Kernkraft 400 – Zombie Nation
This song has been adopted by teams and players around the world! A dull noise comes out!
16. Storm – It’s time to burn
As requested by our Head of Sport Stephen Burn… Sorry, Byrne! See, this is what happens when you listen to a song and try to type at the same time! Another wild option!
17. Metallica – Enter Sandman
KCLR anchor Eoin Carey says we can’t leave this one out and he’s probably right, so here it is!
18. Here is the Hotstepper – Ini Kamoze
Every white collar boxing event you attend will usually have someone listening to this song.
19. Bathtub shot – Chumbawamba
This one was also a classic FIFA football game!
20. Reach – Perfecto Allstarz
Adrian Lewis breaks into this song and it always gets the fans going!
